V Day & One Billion Rising
V Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls.
V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM), and sex slavery.
One Billion Rising is the annual event in which people all over the world perform a dance in the name of non-violence.
You can contribute to this event by finding a group near you to join in, or organising your own!
In 2014 we have a group in Koh Phangan, Thailand. This will be the first time here on the island.
