Autumn 2023 Retreat
Nov 12th to Dec 8th
Tulum, Mexico
The Autumn Retreat will be held in Tulum Mexico, a convenient 2-hour taxi/bus ride from Cancun International Airport. The beautiful Maya Resort by G Hotels will host our retreat, offering us accommodation in rooms on the beach, interwoven by sandy pathways. Our Shakti Temple is a stunning round palapa hall, just a few paces from the ocean. Tulum offers tons of amazing beaches, shops (shakti heaven!!) cents (underground rivers), temple ruins and a very tangible Mayan sacred culture, which will be interwoven into our retreat. WE LOVE TULUM, and we hope you will too!

Details
please read everything carefully
1) Refund policy - Please see our other page for current refund policy. And we can ONLY offer credit if Mexico closes its borders and/or it becomes impossible to fly here for the training due to the pandemic or other natural/national disaster. The resort will also offer refund in such a case, and we both require evidence that you had to cancel for covid reasons if that is the case. This does not include failing to check entry requirements before you travel.
2) Payments - For accommodation you are asked to pay a $500 USD Deposit and then in full within one month before we arrive onsite. You are also welcome to pay in Full before that time. You will book the room with us here on this page, but then pay directly to the resort. We do not profit from your stay at the resort.
3) PLEASE NOTE: Current Health Protocols - as we meet as a group, we will be taking safety measures to ensure everyone is safe to gather. Thus we request that you take extra measures for at least 5 days before the training...this means no festivals, parties, ecstatic dance, kirtan, new lovers (!) or any other extra risk. Please be aware and consider 5 days early and do a self-quarantine~ isolate yourself at a resort, ensuring minimal exposure to others. It is vital that you take responsibility for your health and do all that you can not to bring any infectious illness into the retreat.
If test positive for Covid, you will not be allowed to attend in person and you will have to pay for a room on your own for your quarantine period if you are at Maya Tulum. We will offer you a place on our next retreat.
4) Exposure - during the five weeks we will ask you to minimize exposure to anyone outside of the resort. You can go as a group on excursions, but please avoid close contact with people from outside our "bubble". So please do not arrange for meet-ups during the retreat. If you have a partner in the country or some such thing, then speak to us as we would need to arrange a protocol for him/her before you meet them.
5) Transportation - The transportation fees are not covered within the price packages. The resort will do their best to join ladies together to share rides and thus to share the costs. We will help organize this in our Facebook group. We will have a meet-up in Liberia with taxis across the border together.
6) Travel and Health insurance - Tao Tantric Arts requires ALL of our participants to have Traveler's Insurance for all of our trainings. There are a few options to choose from. They range from approximately $200-300 for 90 days. The least expensive option is Trawick International. https://www.trawickinternational.com
7) Arrival Requirements - Please check updated info of the country you fly into and all countries you travel through (including stopovers in USA) for vaccine requirements, covid test, forms to fill in prior to flying etc etc. As far as we know, these are mostly being dropped, but it is always important to check.
8) Airport - The closest Mexican airport to Tulum is located in Cancun, less than 2 hours away. We have utilized a reliable bus company as well as identified taxi drivers we feel safe referring you to on the way from the airport into Tulum.
9) Arrival & Departure Times - Opening ceremony will be on Sunday at 5pm. It is NECESSARY for you to arrive between 12-3pm on Sunday the 12th not before or after. This is mandatory, no exceptions, except infectious diseases. Our organizational team needs time to set up prior to your arrival and then we all need to begin building cohesion from the start. Please arrive in plenty of time.
Departure - On the last day we have a closing circle 8am, breakfast at 9am and then farewells. Most plan to leave at 11am. Most women plan an extra week to spend with each other after the retreat. We recommend staying at The Space for this, as there is a yoga hall to use for practice (though we ask you not to stay there prior as we do the team training program there).
