Details
please read everything carefully
1) Refund policy - Please see our other page for current refund policy. And we can ONLY offer credit if Nicaragua closes its borders and/or it becomes impossible to fly here for the training due to the pandemic or other natural/national disaster. The resort will also offer refund in such a case, and we both require evidence that you had to cancel for covid reasons if that is the case. This does not include failing to check entry requirements before you travel.
2) Payments - For accommodation you are asked to pay in full within 48 hours of filling in this form (unless already paid). You will book the room with us here on this page, but then pay directly to the resort. We do not profit from your stay at the resort.
3) PLEASE NOTE: Current Health Protocols - as we meet as a group, we will be taking safety measures to ensure everyone is safe to gather. Thus we request that you take extra measures for at least 5 days before the training...this means no festivals, parties, ecstatic dance, kirtan, new lovers (!) or any other extra risk. We would like you to do at least 5 days early and do a self-quarantine~ isolate yourself at a resort, ensuring minimal exposure to others. It is vital that you take responsibility for your health and do all that you can not to bring any infectious illness into the retreat.
At this time (April 2023), to enter Nicaragua, a negative PCR test is needed within 72 hours of entry. This might of course be dropped in the next few days, but for now it is in place.
If test positive for Covid, you will not be allowed to attend in person and you will have to pay for a room on your own for your quarantine period if you are at Treecasa. We will offer you a place on our next retreat.
4) Exposure - during the five weeks we will ask you to minimize exposure to anyone outside of the resort. You can go as a group on excursions, but please avoid close contact with people from outside our "bubble". So please do not arrange for meet-ups during the retreat. If you have a partner in the country or some such thing, then speak to us as we would need to arrange a protocol for him/her before you meet them. We will meet with the men's group at the end of our 5 weeks together. They will also all be tested and followed similar protocols.
5) Transportation - The transportation fees are not covered within the price packages. The resort will do their best to join ladies together to share rides and thus to share the costs. We will help organize this in our Facebook group. We will have a meet-up in Liberia with taxis across the border together.
6) Travel and Health insurance - Tao Tantric Arts requires ALL of our participants to have Traveler's Insurance for all of our trainings. There are a few options to choose from. They range from approximately $200-300 for 90 days. The least expensive option is Trawick International. https://www.trawickinternational.com
7) Arrival Requirements - Please check updated info of the country you fly into and all countries you travel through (including stopovers in USA) for vaccine requirements, covid test, forms to fill in prior to flying etc etc. As far as we know, these are mostly being dropped, but it is always important to check.
8) Airport - For Costa Rica travel, please plan to fly into Libera Airport or you can also fly into SJO (San Jose, CR) airport with a longer travel overland or get a domestic flight to Liberia thru Sansa Airlines (if you fly domestically be aware of large fees for suitcases). For Nicaragua, fly into Managua. Liberia, Costa Rica can be the meeting point for the group before crossing the border in minibuses together. This is the city from which many mini bus traverse go. Check out www.caribeshuttle.com to book border crossing...try to do with other women to make it more fun!
9) Arrival & Departure Times - Opening ceremony will be on Monday at 5pm. It is NECESSARY for you to arrive between 12-3pm on Monday 1st- not before or after. This is mandatory, no exceptions, except infectious diseases. Our organizational team needs time to set up prior to your arrival and then we all need to begin building cohesion from the start. Please arrive in plenty of time.
Departure - On the last day we have a closing circle 8am, breakfast at 9am and then farewells. Most plan to leave at 11am. Most women plan an extra week to spend with each other after the retreat. We recommend staying at The Space for this, as there is a yoga hall to use for practice (though we ask you not to stay there prior as we do the team training program there).
